Kids Birthday Parties

Ni Hao, Kai Lan is a show for preschoolers which airs on Nickelodeon.  ‘Ni Hao’ means ‘Hello’ in Mandarin Chinese.  The show stars Kai Lan. Kai Lan is a young girl who shares her Mandarin Chinese culture during her playtime adventures with her animal friends.  During the show, Kai Lan speaks both English and Mandarin Chinese and she and her friends partake in a lot of singing and dancing.

If your child loves this show, a Kai Lan birthday would be a great party theme for their next celebration.  This post will share many unique birthday ideas that will make your Kai Lan  party a hit.

Start off your party planning with a personalized Kai Lan invitation that you can purchase on Ebay.  These invitations come in many different designs and some can even be customized with your child’s photo.  Tiny Prints also recently added adorable Kai Lan party invitations to their line of stationery. 

Next is the partyware.   There has not yet been any official Kai Lan partyware released.  Therefore, I would recommend incorporating Kai Lan’s prominent colors (blue, orange, red and black) into your party decor.  You could mix and match these colors for the tableware, balloons, and other decorations.   There is  Oriental style party supplies available that would also work nicely with this birthday party theme.  Accent the party room with Chinese decor such as oriental fans, and paper lanterns.  Then, accessorize the party table with chopsticks to pull the whole party theme together.   

For your Kai Lan birthday cake, Ebay offers many personalized edible cake images  that would be perfect.   Cake images are available in different sizes including round, 1/4 sheet,  half sheet, cupcakes  and others.  You can even have your image personalized with your child’s name and age.   You simply bake a basic cake at home and then add on your cake image.  

Ebay seller hildoomarts offers custom Kai Lan cake toppers  (pictured below) that are adorable.  The toppers are handmade using polymer clay and detailed using acrylic paint.
