Kids Birthday Parties

Taylor Swift is one of the hottest performers out there right now.    She has fans of all ages.  If your daughter is a Taylor Swift fan, this would be a unique and fun party theme for their next birthday celebration!

Start of your party planning with a Taylor Swift birthday invitation which can be purchased on Ebay.  There are a few different designs to choose from.  Each invitation features an image of Taylor as well as an area for you to fill in all of the birthday party details.  There are also ticket style invites (pictured) that you can print at home or at your local print center.  If you are short on time, these invitations would work great. 

There isn’t any official partyware for this theme, therefore, I would suggest having your daughter select their favorite Taylor Swift image and coordinate the party decor and color theme around that image. 

My favorite Taylor Swift image is the photo shoot she did surrounded in gerbera daisies and rose petals.  Not only is this a beautiful photo of Taylor, the flowers and color theme would be perfect for a girls birthday party decor.   You could mix and match the tableware, balloons and party decorations in a combination of red, orange, gold and yellow colors.   

Then, make a large Taylor Swift centerpiece to place on the party table.   There are many images of Taylor on the Internet from this photo shoot.  Have your daughter choose her favorite and print it out on paper with the image on both sides.  I would even have the photo laminated.  You can have this done at Staples or any office supply store.   Once you have your finished photo, then you can create a stand using a decorative box.  I did something similar for my daughter’s Jonas Brothers party last year before there were any party supplies released for that theme.   You can view photos of our centerpiece plus full instructions here.    For party balloons, you could incorporate  guitar balloons and gerbera daisy balloons which can be found on Ebay.  Hang  Taylor Swift posters  around the party area.  Finish off the party table by purchasing a bouquet of gerbera daisies to place on the center of the table. 

Ebay also carries gerbera daisy fabric and peel and stick wall decor that you can incorporate into your party table and decorations. 

For your Taylor Swift birthday cake, you could purchase a personalized edible cake image on Ebay.  There are even a few edible toppers that feature the same Taylor Swift image like the one pictured above from Ebay seller 17darstar.   If you decide to make birthday cupcakes, you can purchase edible cupcake toppers from Ebay seller Cool Cake Creations.    Homemade cupcake picks are another option. Simply print out small images of Taylor, attach each one to a toothpick and insert into each cupcake. 

Elegant Celebration Cakes created beautiful Taylor Swift cakes that would be perfect for this party theme.  One of the cakes features an edible cake image.   Sweet Creations designed a fabulous Taylor Swift guitar birthday cake.  She placed a photo of Taylor next to the finished cake.  If you want to create a guitar cake for the party, please visit my Hannah Montana Birthday Cake page for photos and instructions on how to make a guitar cake.   A Cowboy Boot cake would be another fun cake idea for this birthday party theme.  Other party snacks could include guitar cookies, musical note cookies, and guitar jello jigglers!

For your birthday party favors, there is a gorgeous handmade Taylor Swift necklace offered by Ebay seller MusicMemorabilia777.  Necklaces are sold in lots of 12 and feature a strong rubber cord, beautiful ceramic and metal beads, and a lobster claw clasps.  Simply place each necklace in an organza jewelry bag which you can purchase on Ebay and attach a party thank you note.

Other party favor ideas you can find on Ebay include magnets, bookmarks, stickers, tattoos and key chains.  Ebay seller htm designs offers a large selection of personalized Taylor Swift favors and supplies including  candy wrappers, popcorn wrappers, hang tags, thank you cards, napkin holders, water bottle labels, scratch off labels, bookmarks and a fun maze party game.  You could also include guitar theme favors or guitar pen favors in the bags as well.    Since Taylor Swift has her roots in country music, you could also place the party favors in a Pink Cowboy Boot Cup.   Once the party favor cup is filled, tie with a coorindating colored curling ribbon and add a thank you card.

Party activies can include dancing to Taylor Swift music and singing karaoke.  You could also play a Taylor Swift trivia game by putting together some questions about the artist.   Here is the jeopardy game we played at my daughter’s Jonas Brothers party to give you some ideas.

There are lots of Taylor Swift photos, posters and clippings available on Ebay.  You could purchase a large lot and use the images for party decor, decorating the favor bags & invitations, creating a birthday banner and much more.
