Little Mermaid Ariel Birthday Party

Wood Magnet Party Craft

Are you looking for a fun and different party craft for your child’s next birthday celebration? This wood magnet craft may be just what you are looking for! The dog bone magnets you see pictured were from my daughter’s Puppy Party this year. This was my first time doing a wood magnet party craft and they really came out great. They were not too difficult or messy plus the kids had a blast creating them. The kids painted their magnets and then glued on a puppy dog wood embellishment to the center.

To make a magnet craft you will need the following supplies: unfinished wood shape which can be purchased on Ebay to coordinate with your party theme, paint, brushes, and a magnet strip. You can also purchase embellishments for the magnets including rhinestones, stickers, etc. However, that is optional. I would suggest setting up the supplies for each of the guests so they can get right into painting and they will have everything that they will need. I even attach the magnet strip to the back beforehand.

The wood shapes come in hundreds of different designs. There are guitars for a Hannah Montana or Jonas Brothers party, a school pennant and megaphone for a High School Musical, Horse shapes for a Horse party, a crown for a Princess party, a pirate hat for a Pirate party, etc.

Ticket Style Birthday Party Invitations

Ticket style birthday invitations are the latest trend in funky and unique party invites. I recently purchased Diso Party Ticket invitations for my daughter’s 70′s Dance party. All of her friends (and their parents!) wanted to know where I got them. They were a huge hit!

These invitations look exactly like a concert ticket and include a ticket bar code, “Admit One” text, row and seating information as well as lots of other details you would typically see on a real concert ticket. They look very authentic. Some of these ticket invitations even feature a detachable stub. How cool is that? Request the party guests to come with tickets in hand and you can tear off the bottom section as they arrive at the door. You can then enter all of the ticket stubs into a drawing and hand out door prizes to the winning party guests.

Ticket invitations are great for any birthday party theme, but work especially well for music themed parties such as the Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana and High School Musical. Before the guests arrive, set up the stereo to play music for whichever party theme you are hosting and the guests will feel like they are attending an actual concert.

If you decide to include these ticket invitations as part of your child’s next birthday celebration, you will be happy that you did.
